25 years ago a small group of committed volunteers, working with the Arlington Parks Department, set out to enhance the quality of life for the people of the community.

Under the able leadership of President Vistasp Karbhari, UT Arlington is emerging as one of the country’s major universities. Mayor Greene serves as Professor in Practice in UTA’s College of Architecture Planning and Public Affairs.

Thanks to the can-do spirit of Arlington, things like these happen here all the time.

A former chairman of the chamber of commerce, Mayor Greene currently serves as a member of the chamber’s board of directors and it’s public policy council.

Privileged to serve as a presidential appointee for President George W. Bush, it was during his service that the work of environmental protection made the greatest progress in the history of EPA leaving the air cleaner, the water purer, and the land better protected. I know because I was inside the administration during both his terms.
— Richard Greene, former EPA Regional Administrator
